Riyaad-ul-Jannah is another mysterious place that was described in the Holy Scripture. Riyaad-ul-Jannah means the garden of Jannah. The place is located between the sacred chamber and pulpit. The place is renowned for its historic significance and one can see the green carpet named Rawdah.  The Prophet said, “Between my house and my pulpit lays a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and my pulpit is upon my fountain (Al-Kauthar).” [Bukhari]   

Al-Masjid An-Nawabi

There’s an interesting story behind choosing the location of the holiest Mosque on this planet. Prophet Mohammed was new in Medina and his followers were asking him to stay at their places. He used to be a polite guy and he answered that his camel was instructed by Allah and wherever it would stop that would be his new home. The camel kept on moving and stopped at a place and the present mosque is situated in the same place. 

Masjid-E-Qiblatain

Masjid-e-Qiblatain is a special place in Medina that has become famous for the revelation of the Quran to alter the direction of Qibla from Bait-al-Muqadas in Jerusalem to the Ka’bah in Makkah.  It was a bad day for the Jews and the Muslims were very happy as they got the prophecy in their ancient books and the last Prophet had altered the direction of prayers from Jerusalem towards the house of Ibrahim. 

Ustuwaanah Aisha

Ustuwaanah Aisha is the place where the great prophet used to pray regularly. According to Aisha, Prophet said “In this masjid is one such spot that if people knew the true blessed nature thereof, they would flock towards it in such a manner to pray there they would have to cast such lots (i.e. Qu’rah)” the place is very popular among the followers and this is the exact place where Umar (RA) and Abu Bakr (RA) used to pray.  

Ustuwaanah Mukhallaq

Ustuwaanah Mukhallaq is one of the most famous pillars in Masjid-e-Nabawi and it was also the Prophet’s place of Salah. There was an old palm tree where he used to deliver Khutbah (sermon) before the establishment of the mimbar. It has said that when the alteration took place, people heard the echoes of weeping that was sounded from the tree and the followers also started crying.    

Wadi-E-Jinn

Wadi-e-Jinn is a mysterious place that is located about 40km from Medina. People have reported incidents of hearing strange voices and they believe the place is inhabited by Jinn.  One can also hear old phenomenon like vehicles run at 100km/h even when the engine is switched off. Mountain Of Heaven And Hell

Mount Uhud and Mount Ayr are the two most popular mountains in Medina. Uhud is recognized as the mountain of heaven and Ayr is known as the mountain of hell.  The prophet once said “Uhud is a mountain which loves us and which we love, it is upon the Gate of Heaven” adding, “And Ayr is a place which hates us and which we hate, it is upon the Gate of Hell.”

Jannat-Ul-Baqi

Jannat-ul-Baqi is the most famous graveyard in Medina and prophet has said about it in the holy book. He has mentioned that on the Qiyamah day his grave must be opened and he will step forth followed by Abu Bakr (RA) and Umar (RA) after which he will proceed to Baqi to take other inmates. He further says that after this they will await the inmates of the graveyard of Makkah who will meet them halfway between Makkah and Madinah.
