This massive resort features four different theme parks. And two water parks, dozens of hotels, and more. Whether you’re a fan of Mickey Mouse or not, it’s impossible not to have a good time at Disney World.

Road Trip From Orlando to St. Augustine

One fun thing to do in Orlando Florida is to find cheap car rental in Orlando and head out on a road trip to St. Augustine.After a long day of driving, you finally arrive in St. Augustine. The first thing you notice is the smell of the ocean. You take a deep breath and fill your lungs with the salty air. As you walk to the beach, you can’t help but feel a sense of peace. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore is soothing, and the sand is cool and soft.

You sit down and watch the sun set, feeling thankful for this moment of peace, maybe reflect on your favorite quotes about the sunset.. As you sit there watching the sun set, you think about all the places you’ve been and all the places you want to go. You think about the people you’ve met and the things you’ve seen.

You think about all the good and all the bad. But mostly, you think about how lucky you are to have this moment. This moment of peace.

Orlando Universal Studio’s

There are many things to do in Orlando, but one of the most popular attractions is Universal Studios. Universal Studios is a theme park that features rides, shows, and other attractions based on popular movies and TV shows.

Some of the most popular rides at Universal Studios include the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride. The Transformers: The Ride-3D ride, and The Simpsons Ride. Besides rides, there are also several shows that are worth checking out while at Universal Studios.

There are a lot of things to check out in Universal Studios as well. From Jurassic Park Dino’s to thrill rides and even a wooden roller coaster or fun with the Justice League. Personal my highlight visiting Universal Blvd is Diagon Alley.

These include Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Wet n’ Wild water park. No matter what your interests are, there is something for everyone in Orlando!

Pro tip! If you stay at Universal Resort you will be able to enter this icon park an hour before the public. Great if you want to see everything and are traveling with the entire family.

Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Personally, at the top of my list of fun things to do in Orlando. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a magical place where anything is possible. From the moment you step into Hogsmeade village, they transport you into a world of magic and wonder. 

The shops and restaurants all have a distinctly wizarding theme. And the staff is all in character, making the experience even more realistic. If you want to explore further, there is always Hogwarts castle to explore. 

This castle is huge and contains many hidden secrets within its walls. You can also take a ride on the Hogwarts Express. Which takes you through some of the Hogsmeade. One of the most iconic locations in the Harry Potter movies.

Orlando is also home to many other attractions that are not related to the wizarding world but are still worth visiting.

Kennedy Space Center

Here are just a few of the things you can see and do at this incredible attraction. Take a tour of Launch Complex 39A and Pad B where many historical launches have taken place-including those of Apollo 11 & 12. As well as, the launches of Skylab, STS-1 & STS-135. You can even touch an authentic piece of lunar rock brought back from one of the Apollo missions!

Don’t miss Rocket Garden which features retired rockets from various programs. Including Mercury Redstone, Thor Delta, Saturn V, and more.

Check out rare artifacts like astronaut gear, engines, and hardware. It was used in past missions at the Astronauts Hall of Fame Museum. Don’t forget to take your picture with a replica moon landing site in front of Mission Control!

Bok Tower Gardens

Bok Tower Gardens is a beautiful place to visit in Orlando. The gardens are serene, and the tower is a stunning sight.

Leu Gardens

Leu Gardens is a 50-acre (20 ha) public garden in Orlando, Florida. The gardens are open daily. And include a butterfly garden, rose garden, and camellia collection. A highlight of the gardens is the century-old Camellia Forest. Which features camellias that bloom year-round.

The gardens were originally the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry P. Leu from 1936 until 1981. When they donated their home and property to the City of Orlando. On the stipulation that it always be free to the public. In 2013, they added Leu Gardens to the National Register of Historic Places.

Today, visitors can enjoy strolling through winding paths lined with camellias, palms, and oaks. As well as Magnolia trees, cypress trees, and other native plants.
