Whether you have a family or are by yourself, Florida has something exciting for travelers to discover. The Sunshine State is full of exciting amusement parks, soft sandy beaches ( some of the best beaches), and stunning little islands.
With so many places to visit in Florida, it can be hard to figure out where to go. This post will help you discover some the best places to visit in Florida.
Here are 5 places to visit when traveling to Florida
Orlando is one of my favorite places to visit in Florida because of the theme parks. There are so many rides and shows in Orlando that it is almost impossible to have a dull moment.
Venture through the Hogwarts castle in Harry Potter World, or visit the happiest place on earth at Disneyland. The theme parks in Orlando are perfect for a fun and exciting vacation for kids of all ages.
Miami — a city made famous for its celebrities, some of the best beaches in the world, and epic nightlife. Miami has a lot to see and explore, and it is a city which lives up to its lively reputation.
Another perk of Miami is that it’s a gateway to the gorgeous islands known as the Florida Keys.
Every vacation in Florida should have a stop in Miami. From South Beach to Little Havana, Miami has plenty of hotel accommodations to choose from.
The Keys are hands down one of the best places to visit in Florida. Every time I visit the Keys I can’t help but bask in the sun on the beach, ride jet skis through the clear water, and stuff my face with the fantastic food.
However, my favorite thing to do in the Florida Keys is to wander the tiny streets of the charming cities or waste away in Margaritaville, made legendary by the one and only Jimmy Buffett.
Some islands to make sure not to miss when visiting the Florida Keys are Key Largo, Little Touch Key, Key West, and Conch Key.
The jungles, mangrove forests, and swamps are a few treats nature lovers will appreciate when visiting Everglades National Park. There is also a variety of wildlife like panthers and crocodiles in the Everglades. This national park is one of the most diverse parts of Florida and worth exploring.
There are a lot of adventures to do in the Everglades as well. Let’s talk about a few notable ones. Go biking in Shark Valley, camping in Long Pine Key, or kayaking in the waterways. Of course, that’s not all. You can also take boat tours, try your hand at fishing, or hike into the wilderness.
Tampa Bay is a combination of some of the best places to visit in Florida. On a much smaller scale it has nightlife like Miami and theme parks like Orlando. What really makes Tampa Bay stands out is the insanely beautiful beaches. St. Pete Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Florida, if not in America.
Make sure to stop by Tampa Bay. Seriously, it is one of the best places to visit in Florida.
These are some of the best places to visit in Florida. However, there are many more notable places to visit.
Here are some runners-up.
Naples (Not the naples when Backpacking Italy)
Florida is a fantastic state. With everything from adventures in the Everglades to the magical world of Harry Potter, there is something just around the next bend, and it’s perfects for adults and kids of all ages.
